Moonfast is live — a fasting timer that doesn't shout

August 24, 2026 · The Airus Solutions team

Our tenth app is on the App Store. Moonfast is an intermittent-fasting timer for people who would rather not be shouted at by an app — no confetti, no guilt streak, no push notification asking why you broke your fast.

Pick a protocol — 16:8, 18:6, 20:4, OMAD, or your own hours — and start. A ring shows how far into your fast you are and keeps counting if you go past your goal. Start a fast and it appears as a Live Activity, so the timer is on your Lock Screen without unlocking, with the Dynamic Island keeping it at a glance and widgets showing your current fast, your streak, and your longest fast so far.

The fasting ring with a gentle stage timeline, and a weight trend smoothed through the daily noise.

Honest by default

Most of Moonfast's design decisions come down to one rule: don't invent things. As the hours pass, a stage timeline describes what people commonly associate with fasting windows — written to be interesting, not instructive, because bodies differ and the app says so, right on the card. Your history shows finished fasts, streaks, weekly averages and personal bests; when there isn't enough data yet for a number to mean anything, Moonfast says that instead of making one up.

Weight works the same way. Log it, or connect Apple Health and let it come across on its own, and Moonfast draws a smoothed trend line through the daily noise — because day-to-day weight moves on water alone, and a jagged line invites the wrong conclusion. If Apple Health has your resting heart rate, HRV or sleep, Moonfast charts them next to the days you fasted. It shows the readings; it doesn't tell you what they mean.

An app that fasts with you should be quiet about it. The discipline is yours; the timer just keeps honest count.

Private, and not a doctor

Moonfast has no account and works fully without connecting anything — your fasts, schedules, hydration and measurements live on your device, and Apple Health is optional. It's a general wellness tool, not a medical device: it doesn't diagnose or treat anything, and it says so. If you're pregnant or nursing, under 18, managing a condition, or have a history of an eating disorder, talk to a healthcare professional before changing how you eat.
